Mariah Carey ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ on course to top 1m UK sales

‘s festive classic All I Want For Christmas Is You looks set to cross the million sales barrier later this week.
The track, which was deprived of Christmas Number One in 1994 by East 17’s Stay Another Day, has now sold more than 985,700 copies.
It has sold 56,000 over the last month alone and currently sits at number 12 on the UK Top 40.
If All I Want For Christmas Is You does pass one million sales before the end of 2013, it will become the 15th track to do so this year, following hits by Lady Gaga, Elton John and Daft Punk.
We don’t know about you, but we hope this inspires Mariah to do the right thing and release another Christmas song in 2014. It is All I Want For Christmas Is You‘s 20th anniversary after all…
