This month’s Attitude Loves takes in tailored trainers, a queer-ownedrestaurant and a surrealist blockbuster at the V&A. Plus: a piece of tech that could pass for jewellery, a photo that will make you stream Skunk Anansie on the spot, and a bag that manages to look like the most elegant thing in the room.

Dressing up a pair of trainers has never been an easy feat. That is until Thom Browne brought his signature neutrals to ASICS SportStyle. The award-winning American designer, best known for his shrunken suits and collegiate knits, has reimagined the ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 in monochrome renditions of white, black and grey, with refined details including metal-tipped laces and his instantly recognisable red, white and blue grosgrain.

Inspired by the look of an ear cuff, the Sony LinkBuds Clip sit on your outer ear rather than inside it, leaving your canal open so you can hear what’s happening around you. Three listening modes let you switch between music, podcasts and a quieter setting, making them equally suited to running, commuting or working at a desk. Priced at £179.99 and available in black, greige, lavender and green, it’s a piece of tech that could pass for jewellery.

Issey Miyake’s Bao Bao bag range just got a makeover with the SIGN series. The beloved prismatic silhouette is now stamped with contrast colours inspired by road signs. Bright blue and racing red will capture attention; those who prefer to keep a lower profile can opt for greyscale. The look may have changed, but it remains the practical choice for everyday essentials.

Elsa Schiaparelli shook up Parisian fashion in the early 20th century with her eye for the avant-garde, and now the Victoria and Albert Museum has dedicated its latest blockbuster exhibition to her. Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art brings together over 500 pieces tracing the couture house’s rebellious origins and its fruitful collaborations with Salvador Dalí. Pop-culture enthusiasts will want to seek out the show-stopping gowns worn by Ariana Grande and Dua Lipa, designed by today’s creative director Daniel Roseberry.

Brazilian chef Rafael Cagali and his life and business partner Charlie Lee, of London’s Elis and Da Terra restaurants, have earned a Michelin star for Maré by Rafael Cagali just six months after opening in Hove last September. The coastal-inspired seasonal menu is created by chef Ewan Waller, with the restaurant’s name translating from Portuguese as “tide”. “From the beginning, Maré has been about thoughtful cooking and creating a place that feels genuinely special for our community,” Cagali said.
