‘Queer Eye’ wins three Emmy Awards as Jonathan Van Ness slays the red carpet in a sheer dress

The inspiring Netflix series won big at the 70th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards in LA on Sunday.

It’s injecting some much-needed optimism and inclusivity into our lives over the last nine months, and now Queer Eye is officially an Emmy Award-winning show.

The inspiring Netflix makeover series picked up three awards at the 70th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards in LA on Sunday (9 September), including Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured or Competition Reality Program and Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program.

“This show is so important, thank you for what this fab five are doing to help the LGBT movement,” creator and executive producer David Collins said as he accepted the award, Deadline reports.

The triumphant moment comes 14 years after the original iteration of the show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program in 2004.

The reboot’s Fab Five – Karamo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness, Bobby Berk, Tan France and Antoni Porowski – were on hand to celebrate Queer Eye’s success at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, and it was Jonathan who stole the show on the red carpet in a stunning sheer dress and leather platform boots.

The boys have been filming a third season in Kansas City, Missouri, ahead of the show’s return to screens next year.
