Janet Jackson celebrates birthday with new album, tour announcement

Janet Jackson has confirmed that she will release new material and embark on a world tour later this year.
Following weeks of speculation about a secret album, Janet took to Twitter to share a video announcing her news.
“I promised you’d hear it from my lips and now you will. This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement,” she said. “I’ve been listening. Let’s keep the conversation going.”
In her tweet, Janet once again used the hashtag ‘#ConversationsInACafe’, prompting speculation that this may be an album title.
Last year, she celebrated the 25th anniversary of her album Rhythm Nation 1814 .
Janet celebrates her 49th birthday today (May 16).
