A man who threatened to stab a train full of LGBTQ people after Brighton Pride last year has been fined just only £613.
Chadd MacIntosh boarded a train from Brighton to London after the Pride festival ended where he started hurling homophobic abuse to passengers.
He reportedly called them ‘perverts’, ‘f*****s’ and ‘batty men’ who ‘deserve to be killed’ before threatening to stab the passengers saying: “You’re in London now, we carry knives here.”
Journalist Benjamin Butterworth filmed a part of the attack and wrote on Twitter at the time: “On train back from @PrideBrighton, a man threatened to pull a knife on me and others and stab us for being gay.
“He called us paedophiles and dirty and shouted gay people need to all be killed. The video is a fraction of what he said, as was too scared & shaken to film.”

Nine months later he was found guilty of a public order offence with the aggravating factor of a hate crime and was ordered to pay a fine of just £613.
