Emerald Life Awarded Ethical Financial Services Provider of the Year at 2016 MoneyAge Awards

Emerald Life, the UK’s dedicated insurance provider for the LGBT community and ally supporters. Last the company was named Ethical Financial Services Provider of the Year at the MoneyAge Awards 2016.
Emerald Life launched in March 2016 and is the UK’s dedicated insurance provider for the LGBT community and ally supporters. The insurance company offers Home & Contents, Travel, Pet and Wedding insurance and Term Life insurance.
In their acceptance speech, CEO Heidi McCormack, said: “it was an honour to have been nominated, let alone win, only 9 months after launch.
It’s a significant acknowledgement to the years of planning and research behind making Emerald a reality and, most importantly, to our customers as a meaningful, equality-based company challenging the industry to be more inclusive, diverse, customer aware and simply better.”
The company has had a busy year so far, within the last few months alone Emerald Life recently announced a charity partnership with Stonewall, launched a new travel insurance product with a UK first of 24/7 ConsularCare helpline, and funded a summer camp for teenagers living with HIV in partnership with the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
As well as all of this the company is the first in the UK to introduce a home and contents legal cover which includes discrimination.
