Greg Rutherford shows he’s back in shape

Olympic athlete (and our favourite ginger) Greg Rutherford is back in shape, and back on Instagram showing it off.

Following the Christmas season – over which he narrowly missed out on being named BBC Sports Personality of the Year – the 29 year old track and field athlete has been sharing pictures and videos of his progress, putting most of our January efforts to shame.

Here he is, back at the gym, pumping some iron…

A self described ‘almost naked’ shot is surely only a teaser of what is yet to come

ALMOST NAKED! I haven’t done one of these in a while. I don’t run longer than 90m in training and lifted a couple of times a week, while doing all speed power work. A good diet and discipline has helped put me into shape. Believe me I’m a fat man in hiding so I’ve had to learn what works and that’s even taken me to checking my dna with @dnafithq. He’s also been out on the field working on his speed
