‘Queer Eye’ and ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ win big at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards 2019

Cherry Jones and Hannah Gadsby were also winners during the night

Queer Eye and RuPaul’s Drag Race were big winners at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards this weekend.

The 71st Emmy Awards kicked off over the weekend with the first set of awards being presented to the much deserved winners.

This year saw the likes of Netflix’s Queer Eye and RuPaul’s Drag Race become big winners of the night.

Queer Eye took home four awards including Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program, Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program.

Everyone’s favourite RuPaul Charles took home the gong for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program.

The VH1 series also took home Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special and Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming.

Hannah Gadsby won Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for her Netflix series Nanette and Cherry Jones took home Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series for her role in The Handmaid’s Tale.

The rest of the Emmy Awards will take place next weekend.
