Union J have unveiled their new single Tonight (We Live Forever) – the first from the boyband’s upcoming second album. Give it a listen below.

The pop four-piece – Josh Cuthbert, JJ Hamblett, Jaymi Hensley and George Shelley – have been working on songs for their new album with songwriters and producers including OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, who crafted Ella Henderson’s Number One hit Ghost, to Diane Warren, who has written hits for everyone from Cher to Paloma Faith.

Tonight (We Live Forever) will be released on August 17 – with the album, currently untitled, set to follow later this year.

“This track sums up what Union J are about in terms of our sound and it also reflects who we are together – a group of friends having the time of our lives,” the band said in a statement. “It’s a happy song that lifts our mood whenever we hear it.”

Meanwhile, the band will headline Pride Cymru in Cardiff on August 16 – the day before they release the single.

Union J appeared on the cover of Attitude‘s Youth Issue in June 2013 and released their self-titled debut album the following October. It included the UK top ten hits Carry You and Beautiful Life.

Earlier this year, Union J’s Jaymi Hemsley and his fiancé starred in Moss Bros’s first wedding campaign featuring a same sex couple – see the cute couple in the windows of Moss Bros here.
