Kanye West calls Taylor Swift a ‘fake ass’ in leaked backstage rant

By Will Stroude

The recently re-ignited war of words between Kanye West and Taylor Swift seems to show no signs of abating, after the controversial rapper was overheard calling the recent Grammy-winner a “fake ass” in leaked backstage audio from last weekend’s Saturday Night Live.

West was performing on the show last weekend in support of new album The Life of Pablo, but the real drama apparently took place before he took to the stage as the famously outspoken star suffered yet another meltdown about his performance, and despite not being in the vicinity, Taylor clearly wasn’t safe from his wrath after their recent spat over Kanye’s lyrical content.

In audio published by Page Six, West can be heard saying: “Look at that shit, they took my f**king stage off SNL without asking me.

“Now I’m bummed. That and Taylor Swift, fake ass.”

“Now I ain’t gonna do this. We’re gonna break the motherf**king internet.”

Kanye then goes on to compare himself to Pablo Picasso, Stanley Kubrick and Paul the Apostle.

“Are they f**king crazy?” he asks. “Whoa by 50% – Stanley Kubrick, Picasso, Apostle Paul, f**king Picasso and Escobar – by 50% more influential than any other human being.

“Don’t f**k with me. Don’t f**k with me. Don’t f**k with me. By 50% dead or alive, by 50% for the next 1,000 years. Stanley Kubrick, ‘Ye.”

The jibe at Taylor seemingly makes reference to the pair’s recent falling out over Kanye’s name-checking of the Bad Blood singer in new track ‘Famous’, which includes the line, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that bitch famous” – something which Swift quickly denounced as “misogynistic”.

While Kanye’s most recent insult may have only just come to light, Taylor threw some classy shade of her own at the megalomaniac rapper after her historic Grammy’s victory this week, making a pointed acceptance speech swipe at people who “try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame”.
