‘s Amanda Barrie has married her girlfriend of ten years, Hilary Bonner.

The pair tied the knot in front of family and friends at London’s Theatre Royal last Friday (September 12).

The actress – best known for playing Alma Baldwin between 1981 and 2001 – came out as bisexual in her 2002 autobiography. Her other acting credits include Holby City, Bad Girls and Hell’s Kitchen.

Speaking to The Sun earlier this year, the 79-year-old said that they felt they “might be cutting it a bit fine” if they waited any longer to marry.

“As our combined ages will be 144 at the time of this cosmic event, we felt we might be cutting it a bit fine if we left it much longer,” she said, before joking: “In any case, our dog was feeling insecure.”

Barrie was previously married to Robin Hunter, an actor, from 1967 until he died in 2004.
