Big Brother’s Andy West is working on a gay version of Loose Women

By Will Stroude

Former BBC journalist turned Big Brother star Andy West has revealed his latest television venture – a gay version of ITV daytime talk show Loose Women.

The former Newsline reporter, who found himself at the centre of a row over homophobic comments made by boxer Tyson Fury last year before appearing on the most recent series of the Channel 5 reality show, told Attitude that a “groundbreaking” LGBT panel show featuring gay men is currently in the pipeline.

“I’ve just recorded a pilot for a ground-breaking new LGBT show that is going to be like the gay Loose Women where a bunch of gay guys chat about various issues that affect us all,” he said.

“I have also just stated working on a book that is very exciting, not to mention some exciting TV projects that I’ve been approached about. Exciting times.”

Andy, who sadly called time on his engagement after leaving the Big Brother house, also revealed that romance isn’t on his mind as “there’s so much on” professionally for him.

Yes I want to find love again one day,” he said. “But right now I want to concentrate on my career.”

Well, if you need a gay version of Jane McDonald for the new show, Andy, you know where to find us.
