Drag Race UK’s Copper Topp teases return to the show

"I was not impressed."

By Alastair James

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK‘s Copper Topp has lightly teased a return to Drag Race at some point after being eliminated in week three.

The drag queen has also shared that she “flatly refused” to vote for the Naff-ta award for “Most likely to fade into the background”.

The drag queen sashayed away from the competition after being named at the bottom following the paired design challenge alongside Black Peppa.

After claiming the aforementioned award herself during the episode, Copper told Tia Kofi in Attitude’s Tea Time that, “I was not impressed,” to get it.

In the episode, she claimed: “this is bulls**t!”

On who she voted for in that category Copper says she refused. “We’re in a hot box of emotions mental health is important, if someone gets this it’s going to send them to a dark, dark place.

“So, I flatly refused and that backfired.”

Copper, who had been partnered with Cheddar Gorgeous says she loved the ambition of Black Peppaand Jonbers Blonde, and half of their outfits (not the bottom halves) she thinks, “Cheddar ad myself gave a more theatrical presentation.”

Had the lip sync been between Peppa and Jonbers, Copper thinks it could have been a double “Shantay you stay” but recognises that Peppa is a dangerous queen to be pitted again.

Copper also shares that she thinks she would have done very well in Snatch Game.

“Acting and characters is my bag and I had a couple in there that I thought would have been very nice and Ru might enjoy,” adding that she wouldn’t know if she’d win but that she would have been in the top for that challenge.

Her Snatch Game options were Anne Boleyn in the first instance followed by erotic author Barbara Cartland.

Before the end of the interview Copper also confirms she took some material from the challenge with her and has used it to make two outfits.

It’s here that she teases a return to Drag Race in the future.

“When she returns to Drag Race you might see an outfit or two in this material”.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK continues to stream on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer every Thursday from 9 pm.
