How many Americans would support a gay President?

The majority of Americans would support a gay President, a new survey have found.

In a new poll carried out by NBC, 1,000 over 18s were asked whether they would “be enthusiastic,” “be comfortable with,” “have some reservations about” or “be very uncomfortable with” certain aspects of a potential President.

A massive 61% claimed that they would be either “enthusiastic” or “comfortable” with having a gay President, while 39% said that they would be either “uncomfortable” or “have reservations” about it.

The same poll found that 58% of American’s are in favour of the Supreme Court ruling that same-sex marriage is a constitutional right, whilst just 42% were either “strongly” or “not strongly” against it.
