‘Queer Eye’ has been nominated for four Emmy Awards and their reactions are amazing

The Fab Five all took to social media to express their delight in the nominations

Queer Eye has been nominated for four Emmy awards.

The hit Netflix series follows the Fab Five – Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Tan France and Karamo Brown – as they use their specialities to help men, women and towns be the best they can be.

It’s no surprise after the nominations were announced that the Fab Five took to social media to express their delight.

The resident designer Bobby wrote on Twitter: “That moment your show gets nominated for 4 Emmys!!! #

“What an honor!!! Couldn’t have done it without the people you see here plus all the rest of our family at @netflix, @itv_america, and @scout.productions #emmys #emmy”

Antoni also took to the social media site and wrote: “Queer Eye nominated for 4 Emmys.

“Insanely grateful and proud of every associate producer, assistant, executive, production team member, casting, editors, show runners, and OG Fab Five for making it all possible.

“Oh, and @tanfrance @bobbyberk @KaramoBrown @jvn too duh.”

Karamo – who recently got engaged – also wrote: I don’t know who created this photo but we feel Incredible right now!

“@queereye got FOUR #EmmyNominations so proud of my brothers, scout productions @itv @netflix”

Jonathan – who also presents the comedy show Gay of Thrones – took to social media to share his shock that both his shows have been nominated for the prestigious awards.

He wrote: “Oh my god. I can’t even. Thank you sooo much @funnyordie @netflix I’m so grateful.”

In Atittude’s July issue, the Fab Five spoke exclusively on how the show has changed them.

“Being in a comfort bubble with the [Queer Eye] guys, getting praised for being ourselves, has changed me,” explains the group’s resident food expert Antoni.

“As a result of the show, I feel I’m openly gay and I wasn’t before. I’ve had the safety to start wearing brighter things. I wore a twin pyjama set last night, I paint my toenails now.

“I’ve always had a feminine side but it’s been on the inside. To be able to express it on the outside without any shame is really nice.”
