By Nick Bond

The second season of sitcom Vicious finishes up on ITV tonight with a wedding – but things don’t quite go to plan for Stuart Bixby (Sir Derek Jacobi) and Freddie Thornhill (Sir Ian McKellen), a couple who’ve been together for 50 years and are finally tying the knot.

You’ll have to tune in to ITV tonight at 9pm to find out exactly what happens, but in the meantime, we’ve got a look at the finale in the form of a clip and some stills from the wedding  – take a look:

Before the series premiered last month, we brought you an interview with the stars – including Sir Ian McKellen, who had a typically frank message for those who’ve criticised Vicious for its ‘stereotypical’ depictions of gay men as camp:

“We know some gay people don’t like camp gay people. Well fucking grow up! We’re around. We exist. Derek lards Stuart with that campness at times, when required, but he’s no more camp than what you’d see in many a corner shop. There are people like that and for other gay people who act more straight to deny that we’re brothers is something I find offensive. Some people are very, very camp and for god’s sake, some of those camp people are straight. It’s the variety of life.”
