Mara Wilson: ‘I’ll have nothing to do with ‘Mrs Doubtfire 2’

Former child star Mara Wilson has reacted to the news that a sequel to hit 1993 comedy Mrs Doubtfire is in the works, saying she has “no interest” in appearing in it.
The Matilda actress shared her reaction to the news in a series of tweets posted earlier today (April 17), revealing that she had not yet been asked to reprise her role as Robin Williams’ onscreen daughter Natalie.
“For the record, no, I do not have anything to do with the Mrs. Doubtfire sequel, nor will I,” the 26-year-old tweeted.
She went on to add: “There are many, many reasons I don’t want to be in Mrs. Doubtfire 2. But they haven’t even asked me (yet), so no need to worry.”
Wilson continued to share her thoughts on the planned sequel in a series of tweets which we’ve shared below.
Robin Williams starred in the original Mrs Doubtfire film as a father who poses as a Scottish nanny so he can see his children, and is reportedly set to reprise the role in the proposed sequel.
Wilson has not appeared onscreen since starring in Alec Baldwin-fronted Thomas the Tank Engine instalment Thomas and the Magic Railroad in 2000. She now works in New York City as a writer.
