An American radio DJ has let slip a few details about Taylor Swift’s new single.
Swift, 23, is expected to announce her new single and album officially during a Yahoo Live Stream with fans on Monday (August 18), after she revealed the date in a number of cryptic clues on social media last week.
Radio DJ Christopher K of Sacramento’s The End 107 radio station took to Twitter yesterday (August 14) to share some spoilers about Swift’s new track – but then deleted them his feed, reports Idolator.
Take a look at the deleted tweets below:
“The new Taylor is VERY fun & VERY poppy! Has a good message too, not to worry bout what ppl think of u, just shake it off #Swifties”
“Funny line from Taylor’s new song: ‘They say I date too much & can’t make em stay!’ haha It’s a positive song, not a love song #Swifties.”
“Yes! It’s very fun & upbeat, and has a catchy horn sound playing throughout. She even pokes a little fun at herself in it!”
Meanwhile, Swift has also been confirmed to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on August 24, where she is expected to sing her new single. Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce and Rihanna are among the other performers confirmed for the event.
Swift’s last album, Red, was released in October 2012 and debuted at Number One in both the UK and US. It has now sold over six million copies worldwide after spawning the hits We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, I Knew You Were Trouble, 22 and Everything Has Changed.
