Jennifer Lopez and Shakira delivered a Super Bowl Half Time Show for the ages in Miami on Sunday (2 February), after telling
"Let's show the world what two little Latin girls can do", the pair declared on social media before launching into a breathtaking 15-minute medley of hits at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, supported by a performance from NFL teams the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs.
The proudly inclusive set saw Shakira, whose father is Lebanese, perform the Arabic vocal celebration 'zaghrouta' in front of an estimated US TV audience of over 100 million - while J-Lo sported a feathered dress designed in the style of the Puerto Rican flag as her 11-year-old daughter, Emme, sand Burce Springsteen's 'Born In the USA'.
It all culminated in a joint ballroom-inspired rendition of Shakira's 2010 football World Cup anthem 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)', which had the glitter and energy of several seasons of Strictly Come Dancing being expelled from a nuclear reactor at once.
Meanwhile, Demi Lovato made just her second public performance since being hospitalised in 2018 following a drug overdose as she delived a stirring rendition of the US national anthem, 'The Star-Spangled Banner' before the match, which was won by the Kansas City Chiefs (or so we're told).
