The often stuffy BBC quiz show University Challenge entered the zany world of RuPaul’s Drag Race in its lastest episode – and, naturally, hilarity and chaos ensued.

In one round of questioning, four Cambridge students were asked about famous figures impersonated by Drag Race queens on Snatch Game.

Said show host Jeremy Paxman: “Impersonated by Alaska in All Stars series two, a US stage and film actress born in 1893. Her films include She Done Him Wrong and I’m No Angel.”

“Don’t get it twisted!”

The answer, of course, is Mae West.

However, after initially suggesting the answer was Dynasty actress Joan Collins (!), the team captain – after conferring with a teammate – inexplicably declared: “It’s Lady Bunny!”

Which would put the drag icon’s age at… 128 years old.

As ever, Lady Bunny [pictured above during a guest appearance on Drag Race] responded with good humour, even sharing a video of the moment on her own Instagram account.

She added in a caption: “I’ve made it!

“But don’t get it twisted – I was born in 1793!”

What a good sport! (By the way, Lady Bunny’s actual age is – allegedly – 58.)

Meanwhile, Alaska also shared the clip, and threw further ambiguity on LB’s DOB by saying: “While Lady Bunny was indeed born in 1893… sadly that answer is incorrect.”

At this point, we’re starting to believe it.
