Underwear company Andrew Christian has sparked a furious backlash after sharing alleged nude images of Tom Daley with its customers.

The American brand has been widely criticised after sending out an email to its subscribers on Wednesday (January 12) which featured explicit images alleged to be of the Olympic diving star.

Sent with the subject heading “TOM DALEY LEAKED NUDES!!”, the email invited customers to “see Tom like you’ve never seen him before.”

While the original link has since been taken down, Into reports that when users clicked the pictures, the company had written: “Some of Tom’s personal pics have hit the web and now we know how he likes it!”

The brand added: “He’s just inviting us to dive right in.”

Andrew Christian’s actions were quickly denounced on social media, with many urging a boycott of the clothing company.

“Andrew Christian emailing their entire database with Tom Daley’s nudes has got to be the lowest point of 2018 so far. #boycott” wrote one user.

Another added: “This is disgusting. You don’t use someone’s leaked nudes as a marketing tool.

“Never again will I purchase from a company that undermines someone’s privacy in such a way.

“The gay community should be better than that.”
