'The L Word: Generation Q' renewed for season two as UK premiere date revealed

The ladies of Silver Lake are here to stay.

There's a double helping of good news for fans of The L Word: Generation Q - not only is the revival of the beloved noughties drama coming back for a second season, but a UK premiere date for season one has finally been announced.

The eight-episode series, which kicked off on Showtime in US last month, sees Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig and Leisha Hailey reprise their roles at Bette, Shane and Alice as the drama moves from West Hollywood to the LA suburb of Silver Lake.

Viewers in the UK will be able to see what the gang have been up to since we last saw them a decade ago when the show arrives  on Sky Atlantic and Now TV on 4 February - and with all episodes available on demand, a binge-watch will be very much the order of the day.

It's worth investing, because Showtime announced on Monday (13 January) the The L Word: Generation Q has already been picked up for a second season.

"The L Word: Generation Q took our original series that was revered and reinvigorated it for a new generation and a new era,” said Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

"The result has been a show that appeals to all generations for its relevance, its fearlessness, its emotion and its fun. I can’t wait to see what Marja, along with Ilene and this talented ensemble, will deliver for season two."
