After the toughest 12 months for LGBTQ nightlife in history, things are finally looking up with the news that Sink the Pink will make a grand return to cities across the UK later this year.
The famed LGBTQ club event combining fabulous costuming, live drag shows and performances from some of the country's biggest pop stars will burst back into our lives this November with dates in London, Manchester, Bristol and Glasgow.
After starting life in east London in 2008 as an open, unabashedly queer alternative to mainstream LGBTQ nights, Sink the Pink has grown to become an internationally-renowned LGBTQ collective, with events attracting thousands of revellers and headline appearances from stars including Little Mix and Melanic C.
Members of its extensive drag family include RuPaul's Drag Race UK series two star Asttina Mandella, while series finalist Bimini Bon Boulash was crowned 'Miss Sink the Pink' back in 2019.
Sink the Pink's return comes after the government announced its intention to lift almost all coronavirus restrictions from 21 June, paving the way for nightclubs to reopen in the second half of the year.
Glyn Fussell, co-founder of Sink The Pink, tells Attitude: "It feels like there has never been a more important time to throw a huge Sink the Pink party.
"The pandemic has had devastating effects on our industry and our community have really struggled without LGBTQ+ venues and safe spaces to connect.

"We’re lucky that we’re able to return with our biggest show yet, bringing our queer community together to celebrate once again.
"Expect the unexpected and start planning those lewks!"
Details about Sink the Pink's grand return are being kept tightly under wraps for now, but tickets for the four new dates are set to go on sale this Friday 19 March from 9am GMT.
