RuPaul Queens don Dolly Parton outfits and lip-sync to the country singer’s hit song ‘Jolene’.
For the release of the Dolly Parton-inspired Netflix film Dumplin’, the Queens dressed as the iconic country singer for a comedic video of Parton’s hit ‘Jolene’.
The film – which is a musical comedy based on Julie Muphy’s book of the same name – follows a former beauty queen (Jennifer Aniston) and her plus-sized teenage daughter (Danielle Macdonald) who enters herself into a beauty contest after being inspired by Parton’s music.
For the lip-sync video of the classic song, the video stars Alaska Thunderfuck, Bebe Zahara Benet, Ben Dela Crème, Katya and Manila Luzon.
Ginger Minj also stars in the both the video and the Netflix movie as a drag queen who helps the plus-sized teen with her performance act.
To top everything off, the iconic country singer praised the video and wrote on Twitter: “Go to the Smoky Mountains, they said. It'll be fun, they said.
“Thanks to @TheGingerMinj and all the other queens in this new Jolene video! #DUMPLIN”
To which Ginger tweeted her excitement: “Ummm ... Dolly Parton just tweeted @ me ... I’m good. I’m good.”
