Paloma Faith has won the Attitude Music Award 2014, supported by Smirnoff.
The 33-year-old singer was presented with the award by singer-songwriter John Grant at tonight’s ceremony at Banqueting House in Whitehall, London. Earlier in the evening, she performed a rousing rendition of Only Love Can Hurt Like This
at the event, which is being hosted by Scissor Sisters star Ana Matronic.
The Hackney-born artist has enjoyed her best year yet since releasing her third album, A Perfect Contradiction
, in March.
The album’s second single, Only Love Can Hurt Like This
, has now racked up nearly six months on the UK’s Official Singles Chart, while her recent collaboration with drum and bass duo Sigma, Changing
, reached Number One.
