New data has calculated the cities with the happiest LGBTQ residents

Amsterdam is the city with the happiest LGBTQ residents, according to new research
DC Jewellery has curated data from social media, Google, and more to determine which global cities are the most loving, have the most romantic engagement hotspots, and even in which cities are the most babies are being made in.
Of the cities with the happiest LGBTQ residents, Amsterdam came out on top followed by Vancouver and Toronto.
Based on a global acceptance index, Amsterdam scored 9.46/10.
The Dutch capital has an extensive history of supporting LGBTQ+ with homosexuality being decriminalised in 1811, and the first gay bar opening in 1927.
Furthermore, the Netherlands became the first country in the world to legalise same-sex marriage in 2001.
Taking second place in the ‘city with the happiest LGBTQ+ residents’ list is Vancouver.
The Canadian city gets runner-up as it is host to the largest gay population on Canada’s West Coast, much of the LGBTQ+ community is centred in the neighbourhood of Davie Village.
With its inclusive atmosphere and the fact it became the first Canadian city to ban gay conversion therapy, Vancouver has a gay acceptance index score of 9.02 out of ten thanks to its inclusive atmosphere.
The bronze medal is also located in Canada, with a score of 9.02 out of ten Toronto is home to the world’s third happiest LBGTQ+ population.
Toronto holds Canada’s largest LGBTQ+ population and the city is known for being one of the most gay-friendly destinations in the world.
Toronto Pride is one of the largest organised gay pride festivals in the world, a protest and celebration that is bucket list material.
This barometer of happiness in Canada, specifically Vancouver and Toronto, is further evidenced by the country’s LGBTQ+ rights are some of the most extensive in the world.
Canada was referred to as the most gay-friendly country in the world when it was ranked first in the Gay Travel Index chart in 2021
