Michelle Visage wants Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley and Dawn French to be guest judges on the UK version of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
The Emmy award-winning show is crossing the Atlantic and an eight-part series featuring the best of Britain's drag talent is set to air on BBC Three in 2019, the channel confirmed this months.
Since the news, everyone has been speculating what the UK version of the show could feature – check out our own list here – but Michelle has her own idea of who she wants to guest judge and we couldn’t agree more.
While speaking to Digital Spy, Michelle said: "I’ve sent in a list of who I liked. At the top was Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley. And Dawn French. I want the whole lot of them.
"I sent a really long list and people have to trust my list. I might not know who everybody is, I didn't grow up watching British TV, I learned who Tracy Beaker is today.
"I watch a lot of British television but I can't watch all of it. I can't watch all or Coronation Street or all of EastEnders.
“We're going back years, I can't watch all of it no matter how much time I have in the world. But there is shows I have seen over the years, Keeping Up Appearances, Fawlty Towers.
"I have never missed an episode of Benidorm and other shows I absolutely love.
“As time goes on more people get added to my brain and to that list. British people have to trust my list is pretty thorough."
Michelle also opened up about why RuPaul decided to bring his hit show across the pond and onto British shores.
She said: “The deciding factor was that it belongs here. British drag is so different and quintessentially British and different from American drag.
"I feel like British queens deserve their space to shine. Drag even of itself is different over here, so even celebrating drag for all its differences and wackiness deserves its own platform."
