McDonald’s UK, in what will surely prove the most surreal news of the week, has apologised to drag queens Ginny Lemon and Sister Sister.

The apology was issued after the fast food giant delivered free food to RuPaul’s Drag Race UK contestants on finale night – except the two in question.

And Ginny wasn’t happy.

The star took to Twitter to complain, saying: “Righting more wrongs today me and @sistersisterhun were the only queens not to get a maccies from @McDonalds on the drag race finale night.

“[Both] Worcester and Liverpool do have maccies and as I have invested in ur fine business for years now I would like some answers? Plz Cher. [Sic].”

Ginny added: “I want maccies I deserve maccies I need maccies.”

“Oh no!”

A McDonald’s rep later replied to Ginny on Twitter: “Oh no! We’re sorry you didn’t get a McDelivery on the night – we reached out to the agents for all of the lovely UK queens.

“Of course, we’d love to send you both a McDelivery so drop us a DM and we can get it sorted for you ASAP.”

The RPDR UK final saw Lawrence Chaney steal the crown over rivals Tayce, Bimini and Ellie Diamond.

McDonald’s UK was displeased with the result, tweeting Ellie: “Oh, @elliediamond101, that win was SNATCHED from you! You may have to sashay away, but you’re ALWAYS a winner in our eyes #DragRaceUK.”

(If you’re wondering why McDonald’s had such a strong opinion on the matter, it’s most likely in part because Ellie used to work there.)
