Italian TV network apologises for censoring 'HTGAWM' gay sex scene

2016-07-13
It's not every day that a TV show gives two gay characters the chance to get down and dirty on screen. So when an Italian network decided to omit a sex scene from the pilot episode of smash hit legal drama How To Get Away With Murder, its executive producer Shonda Rhimes was not best pleased. https://twitter.com/shondarhimes/status/751852394548326400 The scene, which shows Connor, played by Jack Falahee getting it on with Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) to get his hands on some important documents for a legal case, was edited out. After complaints from Rhimes, Falahee and angry fans, the TV network issued an apology in Italian, blaming an "excess of modesty" for the scene being cut. Take a peak at the steamy scene in the video below - only in the interests of freedom of expression, of course. https://twitter.com/petenowalk/status/751844243795111936 More stories: Grand Theft Auto goes gay with new Pride modification Theresa May: What you need to know about the LGBT rights record of Britain’s next PM
