Henry Cavill knows exactly
how powerful his thighs are.
Oh yes, in an interview with Shortlist
, the British actor admitted that his workout regieme for playing Superman in Man of Steel
had caused a little trouble.
The exchange began with the interviewer asking Cavill if his muscles - those same muscles from that work out video
- had ever ripped anything he owned. Knowingly, the actor asked who the question was from and that it had come from a male fan.
"I had a suit tailored for the Immortals premiere. At that stage, I was at my very leanest," he recalled.
"It was just after shooting my shirtless scenes [for Man of Steel
]. At the very end of the movie, I put that suit on again for a photoshoot we were doing and I ripped the seams, the inside seams, just because my thighs were that much bigger."
That was a sadly not a bonus feature on the DVD.
Cavill was also asked if he preferred "budgie smugles or swimming shorts", jokingly - we think - responding: "Definitely, definitely swimming shorts. More like a parrot smugglers. A Macaw or something. Perhaps a large bird of prey. Bald eagle. There you go."
