George Michael’s pet Labrador has died two years after the singer.

The golden Labrador, Abby, was the last surviving pet owned by the Wham! singer who was found dead by his boyfriend Fazi Fawaz in his north London home on Christmas Day back in 2016.

Abby’s sister, Meggy, passed away the year before their owner, who was often seen walking his pets near him Highgate home and referred to them as his best friends.

Now, Michael’s close friend, Alex Georgiou, confirmed the news on Heart FM and said people all over the world came to visit the pooch.

He said: “People came from all over the world to see her and they would wait patiently until four o’clock for her walk as not to disturb her.

“She loved people and she was so gentle.”

Michael adopted the dogs when they were puppies back in 2006 while he was dating Kenny Goss and fans took to Twitter to share their sadness at the loss.

Georgiou also confirmed the news with an emotional Facebook post, which read: “Goodbye my sweet Abby thank you for every minute.

“It’s time for you to go back to George and Meggy, they can’t wait anymore and I can’t blame them as you’re so special, and all your friends around the world who came to visit you and sent you presents all the time are going to miss you.

“You are loved so much, you are a blessing to us all, especially me.

“You will always be my sunshine and I promise one day I will come and find you but for now my sweetheart run and play with Meggy and George over Rainbow Bridge in to the meadows out in the sun they are waiting for you.

“Have fun my sweetheart. I’ll see you again xxx. [sic]”
