Fyre Festival icon Andy King is cashing in on his unlikely global fame with a first-ever UK tour.
The events organiser, who was part of the team who organised the doomed luxury festival in 2017, became a viral sensation last year when he revealed he was prepared to offer oral sex to customs officers to save the festival in Netflix documentary Fyre: The Greatest Party that Never Happened.
Now, he's embarking on a tour of Britain to share anecdotes and insight from the festival and promote his admirably 'can do' attitude.
'A Fyre-side Chat' tour will include a 60-minute moderated discussion followed by a 30-minute Q&A, with planned stops in Newcastle, Glasgow, London, Stoke On Trent, Sheffield, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Brighton, Southampton, and Norwich.
For the uninitiated, King became a viral sensation when it was revealed in Fyre: The Greatest Festival That Never Happed that he was asked "take one for the team" and offer to perform oral sex on a customs official to release a shipment of Evian being held in The Bahamas.
"I literally drove home, took a shower, drank some mouthwash, and got in my car to drive across the island to take one to the team," King revealed during the film. "I got to his office fully prepared to suck his d**k.
"I was going to do that, honestly, to save the festival."
As it transpired, King didn't need to offer his, erm, services in exchange for a hefty load of Evian, but that didn't stop the water brand enlisting him as the face of their recent campaign, which carried the strapline: "So good, you'd do anything for it."
Frankly, we can't believe we thought Gaga's Chromatica Ball would bve the hottest ticket in town this year.
