The Eurovision Song Contest may have been cancelled this year, but Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams will ensure we get our annual dose of musical madness in Netflix's upcoming comedy Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

After giving us a first taste of some of the original music on offer in the film in the form of the weirdly addictive 'Volcano Man', the first full first trailerhas now arrived ahead of the film's release Netflix on 26 June.

It gives us another chance to see Ferrell and McAdams in action as struggling Icelandic singers Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir, whose lives are changed forever when they're given the chance to represent their country at Eurovision.

The trailer also gives us our first look at the pair's co-stars, including Dan Stevens, who plays dastardly Eurovision rival Alexander Lemtov, and former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan as Lars' disappointed father Erick.

It also gives us a glimpse of the UK's BBC Eurovision commentator Graham Norton, who will appear as himself in the film.

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga will also see Demi Lovato appear as a singer called Katiana, and perform a number called 'In The Mirror'.

Writer and star Will Ferrell opened up about his long-standing love of Eurovision during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show last month, as he recalled the first time he watched the compeititon.

“This happened literally twenty years ago visiting my wife’s family in Sweden,” he told Norton.

“One evening her cousin said, ‘Shall we sit down and watch Eurovision?’ and I said OK. We proceeded to sit there for three straight hours and watch the Eurovision finals while my mouth was slack-jawed. I couldn’t believe what I was watching.”

The Anchorman star added: “Everything that you guys know — the spectacle, the humour in it, and the camp — was intoxicating. I always thought someone has to make a movie about it and no onne had. We started to get the ball rolling about four years ago.”

Eurovision Song Contest: The Story Of Fire Saga arrives on Netflix on 26 June.
