RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World star Janey Jacké says that Jujubee may been “strategic” in eliminating her a week before the grand finale.

Tuesday’s episode saw the Dutch queen sashay away after being placed in the bottom following the group musical challenge. Jujubee and Mo Heart were named the top two queens of the week, with the former ultimately being named winner and choosing to boot Janey from the competition.

Speaking to Tia Kofi and Attitude on Tea Time in association with Taimi, the LGBTQ dating, and social network app, Janey says of her semi-final exit: “I think it might have been strategy. Yeah.

“I mean, Jujubee does not, I don’t think she’s like the queen to go for the drag, like, ‘oh, she sang really horribly’. I think it was a little bit strategic, but that’s how it felt.

“It might not have been, but it felt a little bit more strategic, yes.”

On whether Jujubee deserved to be at the top, the Drag Race Holland queen thinks Blu Hydrangea’s verse in the group challenge was “a little bit stronger” than Jujubee’s, but that ultimately she can’t argue with Juju’s decision.

She adds: “Yes, because it’s your right to decide who you want to eliminate. And if you know you’re going into a finale, which with All Stars it’s usually a lip-sync finale, and I am a strong, fierce lip-syncing dancing queen it’s smart to eliminate me because I could be your competition.”

Janey also thinks it’s “more interesting” to watch a “normal season” of Drag Race, where the decisions are made by the judges rather than competitors, citing the journey queens go on.

That being said, however, Janey reminds us that this series is using All Stars rules so different tactics are at play – as she can now attest to.

The series finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World will be on BBC Three and Player from 9 pm on Tuesday 8 March.
