2019-10-28

Drop everything, because Dolly Parton is once again giving the gays everything they want on a new club-ready banger with Swedish dance duo Galantis.

The legendary singer has teamed up with the 'Peanut Butter Jelly' hitmakers and Mr Probz for 'Faith', a joyous reoworking of John Hiatt’s 1987 classic 'Have A Little Faith In Me' which deserves to grace the speakers of your local gay dancery for weeks to come.

Parton, 73, also appears in the newly-released video for the track, where she plays the world's campest bus driver as she leads an impromptu dance celebration with Galantis boys Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw.

Dolly's been teasing a gay dance album of her own for some years now, but previouslty admitted: "Every time I start to work on that [the dance album], something else comes up.

"But one day I promise you I will get that out", she added.

Parton first teased the collaboration with Galantis earlier this month while celebrating 50 years as a member of Nashville's Grand Old Opry, where she said she wanted to make music that shines "a little more light" into the world.

“This world is just so dark and ugly and awful...", the '9 to 5' singer said, acording to Billboard.

"So I'm going to make it my business to try to do songs that are more uplifting, not all Christian-based songs, but songs about better things.

"Do better, and have a little more love, a little more light and don’t be so dark and dirty".
