Christopher Biggins has claimed that his friendship with outspoken columnist Katie Hopkins has cost him some other friends.
The popular television personality and Hopkins met when they both took part in the 2007 series of
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, which Biggins went on to win.
However, counting the Celebrity Big Brother housemate as a friend has come at a cost.
"I've lost several pals over my friendship with Katie - especially the
Loose Women lot. None of them will talk to me anymore," he told the
Huffington Post.
"I don't care - they can act like ‘Mean Girls’ all they want.
Describing her as "one of the nicest, funniest people" he knows, Biggins added: "I've been friends with Katie for a long time."
Hopkins has a fraught relationship with a number of the
Loose Women stars, something which escalated when she made a tense appearance on the ITV show last month.
Most recently, Hopkins
spoke out in defence of Dolce & Gabbana following Sir Elton John's calls for a boycott.
