A cannabis company has reportedly donated more than $60,000 to the San Francisco LGBT Center.

The Plus Products Inc. promised to donate all proceeds from the sales of its annual Rainbow Sorbet limited-edition cannabis gummies to the LGBTQ centre in San Francisco.

Despite selling the gummies every year, this year the company sold more than any of its previous seasonal releases and LGBTQ Nation report that around $60,937 will be donated.

Jake Heimark, CEO and co-founder of Plus Products, said: “This limited edition and the accompanying donation is just a small way for PLUS to show support for the LGBTQ community.

“Our company was honoured to have the opportunity to work with the SF LGBT Center this year.

“We care deeply about being a truly engaged partner and look forward to finding more opportunity to work together in the future.”

The whopping donation will help the centre with its community programmes, businesses, volunteering, housing as well as their newly unveiled National LGBTQ Center for the Arts.

Dani Siragusa, the San Francisco LGBT Center’s director of development, said: “We’re proud to partner with local businesses that are committed to supporting the SF LGBT Center and building a better Bay Area.

“This generous donation demonstrates PLUS’s investment in the LGBTQ+ community as well as the overwhelming enthusiasm of fellow Californians to work with us to create a more welcoming, equitable world.”
