Billy Eichner has been cast in the new series of American Crime Story.
Following on from the success of American Crime Story: OJ Simpson vs the People and Versace, Ryan Murphy is set to make a third instalment of the anthology series, Impeachment, which will tackle the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky sex scandal.
And now, Billy Eichner – who starred in Murphy’s other famed anthology series American Horror Story – has joined the cast as famed journalised and Drudge Report founder Matt Drudge, Deadline reported.
Eichner joins the likes of Sarah Paulson, Clive Owen and Beanie Feldstein in the new series.
Writing on Twitter, Eichner said: “Can finally share this with the world.
“Truly an honor to join @MsSarahPaulson, @BeanieFeldstein , Clive Owen and more in American Crime Story: Impeachment.”

The Drudge Report first broke news of the White House affair back in 1998 and then reported that Newsweek editors were sitting on a story by investigative reporter Michael Isikoff.
The series is set to start filming in March.
