Andrew Scott said Rami Malek will ‘do something surprising’ as the villain in the upcoming James Bond movie.
Malek – a former Attitude cover star – was announced to starring in the upcoming James Bond movie, No Time to Die, and will go head-to-head against Daniel Craig in his last outing as the 007 agent.
And while speaking to Digital Spy, openly gay Andrew Scott discussed what to expect from Malek in the upcoming film and said when he played Jim Moriarty in Sherlock he tried to do something ‘slightly different’.
He said: “I think it’s the element of surprise, you know? I think it’s the idea that any good villain is when you’re not safe.
“You don’t just do villain, villain, villain. From my own experience of playing a villain, I was very interested in just doing something that was slightly different.
“It means you’re taking a risk a little bit.
“That’s why I think Javier Bardem was such a great Bond villain because he was just so unusual and surprising, and not something that you have seen before.”
No Time to Die is set to be released in cinemas in April, 2020.
