Alison Hammond for new series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'?

HammondThis Morning presenter Allison Hammond is rumoured to be appearing on the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing. BBC bosses are reportedly keen for Hammond to bring her bubbly personality and gregarious sense of humour to the new series of the ballroom dancing contest. Hammond's This Morning co-star, Richard Arnold, took part in the show in 2012, and is said to have encouraged her to sign up for the new series. "She was genuinely delighted to be asked to join. She could be one of this year's big surprises," a so-called 'insider' told The Sun. "Alison has always loved Strictly, but she never thought it was a possibility until she saw Lisa Riley do so well. The fact Richard Arnold loved it too made it even more appealing. So she jumped at the chance this year." Hammond rose to fame after appearing on Big Brother in 2002, and has gone on to forge a successful TV career as a presenter and panellist on shows including This Morning and Loose Women. She was recently seen on the latest series of BBC's Celebrity MasterChef. The latest Strictly Come Dancing rumour follows a report earlier this month (July) that former Attitude cover star and TOWIE cast member Mark Wright is being lined up to appear on the series.
