Comedian, Alan Carr, and his partner, Paul Drayton, have announced they are parting ways after being married for three years and being together for 13.

A short statement from the pair said the split was made “jointly and amicably” and was released through the Press Association.

The two married back in 2018 in Adele’s back garden at her house in Los Angeles.

“We request that their privacy is respected at this sensitive time”

In their statement, a spokesperson said: “After 13 years as a couple and three years of marriage, Alan Carr and Paul Drayton would like to announce they are separating.

“They have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go their separate ways. We request that their privacy is respected at this sensitive time.”

The news follows reports that Drayton pleaded guilty to a charge of drink-driving last November after reversing his car into a police car and being four times over the legal limit. Reports suggest he is yet to be sentenced.

Drayton also shared images of himself with a black eye last August, which was later said to be a result of him falling off the wagon, according to Carr.
