Alternative Parenting Show has seen the biggest intake
of guys registering this year, showing that more gay men are wanting to become
fathers.
Event Manager, Fiona Marshall from Square Peg
Media, said: "The number of gay men coming forward has been far more than
in the past two shows we've organised. Many are starting to look at all the
options, including surrogacy, co-parenting and adoption. Each route has its own
advantages and pitfalls, it's important to research the best method for you and
importantly find out where you stand legally."
All of these options are explained at the Alternative
Parenting Show, running at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London on Saturday 15th September. The world of alternative parenting
can be an extremely confusing minefield, but experts will be on hand to answer
questions and are presenting helpful seminars to guide people on their way.
These include
the headline sponsor, the London Women’s Clinic, the surrogacy partner, British
Surrogacy Centre and Dawson Cornwell, legal partner and experts in family law.
The event is
partnered by the UK's largest LGB charity Stonewall, who will be on hand to
discuss how to help eradicate bullying of children of same-sex parents and how
to ensure your child's education gets off to the best start. They have
invited Coronation Street’s Charlie Condou to give his experiences of being a
gay parent and how important education is in eradicating homophobia in schools.
Tickets for the
show cost just £8 each, with seminars only £3 each. For further information on
the show, and to book tickets, go online at www.alternativeparenting.co.uk
