A
new exhibition will be held in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, to explore the link
between image and sexuality, as part of the Manchester Pride Fringe Festival,
launching one of the city's newest photography studios; Huntsman Studio.
'Boys,
Boys, Boys' is the culmination of months of hard work of Ian Brooke, a portrait
and fashion photographer from Salford. The exhibition, which is being held at
Kraak Gallery, aims to challenge the issue of homophobia and issues arising
from it.
"The work I undertake is different
from the crowd, I would rather take a picture of a guy wearing a full face of
make up than another guy with his top off, and this is how the idea for Boys
Boys Boys came about." – Ian Brooke
Boys Boys Boys will run from Tuesday 21 August to Thursday 23 August, 10am to
5pm. Entry is free but donations for the Albert Kennedy Trust can be made on
the door, and will be gratefully received.
