7th June marked another stepping stone towards
marriage equality across Europe after the Danish Parliament passed equal
marriage laws.
It went through with an overwhelming majority of 85 to 24,
which covers both civil marriages and weddings in the Church of Denmark, which
will come into effect on the 15th June this year.
Denmark was the first country in the world to recognise
civil partnerships in 1989 for same-sex couples and today marks it continuing
work towards equality.
Next stop, Britain! Just to remind you, Britain's consultation on equal marriage ends on June 14th, so make sure you get your voice heard!
