After having been legalised, made illegal, and then that illegal measure being declared unconstitutional, gay marriage in California has been batted back and forth for years now. People that back the ban on same sex marriage are now saying they will take the matter to the U.S. Supreme Court.
This isn't necessarily bad news, as a Supreme Court ruling would settle the matter once and for all. This developent comes after a US federal appeal court said it would not reconsider its earlier decision to strike down a ban on gay marriage. The bad news is, this will likely not play out until October.
