Against the backdrop of the gay marriage consultation/debate/discussion/drama, the British Academy are holding a panel discussion to explore
some of the deeper implications of same sex civil marriage. A divisive topic, the talk will seek insights and conclusions by
considering theological, philosophical and legal reflections on the
reasons behind this striking shift in British society.
The outcomes will also be submitted to the official government consultation.
The talk happens on Tuesday, 29 May, from 6-7.30pm (followed by a drinks receiption). It will be held at the British Academy, 10-11 Carlton House Terrace, London, SW1Y 5AH. The event is free, but you need to register the fact you're going.
