Leeds Rhinos are the World Club champions of rugby league. They're kind of a big deal.
They're also using one of their matches in August to celebrate LGBT equality, when they play Widnes Vikings on the 10th of that month.
The club are inviting fans to join them in their celebrations by designing a special commemorative shirt which will be worn by the Leeds players during their pre-match warm-up and also made available to purchase through the official club shop. We are so going to buy one of those.
There's quite an incentive to enter the design competition, as the winner will be invited to attend the match at Headingley Carnegie Stadium as a guest of honour, as well as attending a photo-shoot with a selection of Leeds Rhinos players and stars from the cast of the ITV series, Emmerdale. We gather they don't play rugby. But we like Emmerdale, so that's nice as well!
If you're thinking of entering, designs should be bold and simple with text kept to a minimum. Designs can include colour, patterns or text. There are opportunities to include design ideas on the front, back and shoulders of the shirt.

You can do it by yourself or in a group, and the closing date is May 25th. Winning design will be chosen by a panel on Monday May 28 and the winner will be told the next day. Please include your name and contact details with your design and send entries to firstname.lastname@example.org or post to Sarah Williams, RFL, Red Hall, Red Hall Lane, Leeds LS17 8NB.
