We love a bit of Eurovision at Attitude. Being into the high camp event is in the gay gene, right? Ok, so it’s not for everyone but we just can’t resist its charm.
Eurovision is now big business with parties and events on show night including the famous event at Brighton’s Duke of York cinema and for the past 5 years the London Eurovision Party has welcomed acts performing in the event for a showcase before the event to avid fans and the downright curious.
This year’s London Eurovision party takes place at Soho’s Shadow Lounge on Sunday 29th April and will feature performers from France (Anggun), Hungary (Compact Disco), Lithuania (Donny Montell), San Marino (Valentina Monetta) and others with more acts still being added. The show is being hosted by Paddy O’Connell and former UK Eurovision entrant Nicki French. As well as these exclusive performances, guests will be able to spend the rest of the night dancing to Eurovision classics thanks to DJ Dave Simmons. There is also a great prize on the night to win two return flights to Baku for Eurovision.
The only thing missing is that we don’t get to score the performances on the night – we will just have to wait until the grand final on 26th May to do that.
Tickets for the event are priced at £25 via www.londoneurovision.com and the event takes place on Sunday 29th April at Shadow Lounge, Soho. Doors at 7pm with performances at 8.30pm. Disco runs until 3am.
