If the BBC's I'm in a Girl Group reignited your passion for a bit of girl power at the weekend, you can rejoice in the knowledge that the now near-vintage Girls Aloud have said they'll be hooking back up in 2013 for their 10th anniversary.
Despite rumours of bitchiness and in-fighting between Nadine and the rest of the band members, it is Miss Coyle who has come out to confirm their plans for next year. She told celebrity blogger Dean Piper: "“I know everyone’s been speculating about what we will do. It will be
arena dates at the start of next year and we will have new music to go
with it."
Cheryl, Nicola, Kimberly, Sarah and Nadine have always said there would be a reunion, but (some of) the girls' blossoming solo careers had left everyone else not so sure. While Nadine has proved a bit of a pop-flop, Cheryl is looking to release her third album in the near future, which is rumoured to feature a collaboration with Lana Del Ray.
We can't imagine what it would sound like, but our bet is amazing.
